Decisions, not opinions
Evally turns AI output into typed verdicts your code can trust, from one API call.
Every team shipping AI hits the same question: is this answer good enough to show a user? The usual fix is to ask another chatbot for its opinion, then parse the prose. I started Evally because that felt backwards. A judge should decide, not chat.
On September 22, 2026, I wired Jev, TypeSafe’s System One model, to answer four closed questions about an AI answer: is it grounded in the source, does it answer what was asked, is it safe, and how good is it. One of the first tests was a support reply that invented a $250 PayPal refund. Jev put its grounding at 0.01, and Evally failed it in under half a second.
Two days later Evally was live at tryevally.com. Then I went through all 551 community builds on shipwithjev.com to see what people actually decide with Jev, and turned the patterns into 76 ready-made judges, from prompt-injection guards to lead scoring.
Evally is small, independent and moving fast. The changelog has every release.

A model built to decide
Jev is TypeSafe’s System One model. Instead of writing text, it answers typed questions: a calibrated yes/no probability, a choice with every option’s probability, or a score on a rubric. Evally adds what a product needs around it: ready-made judges, rules you can read, versions, batches, a review queue, API keys and usage.
Evally is an independent product built on Jev.
Four rules we build by
Decide, don't chat
A judge returns a typed verdict your code can branch on: pass, flag, fail or your own labels. Never prose to parse.
Calibrated, not confident-sounding
Every check is a probability you can threshold. 0.78 means 0.78, so you choose the line where you ship.
Honest numbers
Every number on this site comes from a recorded run, and examples are labelled. No made-up logos or testimonials.
Your data stays yours
Judged text isn't stored by default. It's kept only for your own history, the review queue, or judges where you turn storage on.
